Buyer Possession Timing. Michael Ackerman talks Seattle Real Estate.

Michael Ackerman, a Seattle Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bain, blogs about when a buyer takes possession of their new property. Most possession takes place on the closing date and buyers assume that they can move in as soon as recording numbers are received. The purchase and sale agreement stipulates that the possession time is 9PM on the possession date so, if the buyer wants to move in prior to that, it needs to be agreed upon in writing.
